Peace & Love

My concept is Peace and Love. I declare this as my concept because I believe that peace and love are the greatest essentials in life. In my opinion I think when you have only peace and love with the people around you it is an overall good living environment. When I argue or get into a big fight with someone I feel like the opposite of love, not hatred but a dislike because arguing is never a good thing. Fighting with a family member or best friend makes me feel unloved even though I know I’m not, and that is something else that I don’t like to feel. I believe that everyone should have faith in peace and love and spread the word.
Many people don’t believe in peace anymore because of plenty of different personal or political reasons. I believe that one of the main reasons is because of the war in Iraq. People have lost respect for others over verbal and physical pain that they have caused in this world we live in. Love to me is something that everyone should feel and have in their life. Some people that don’t believe in love may not realize what a big part in life they’re missing.
A movie that relates to peace and love is Woodstock, directed by Michael Wadleigh. This movie is about the Woodstock music and art festival in Bethel, NY, in 1969. This movie is a vibrant attitude of youth and rebellion. It brought together different types of bands who played different tones of music and the people at Woodstock lived off of drugs, rain, peace and love.
The song “Peace and Love” by Neil Young explains how people find the inner truth of others around them and how much better it can make an individual feel.

Peace and love, only a ride. Strength is gone, dying inside. Tell me now, what did you find? Found love in the people. Living in a sacred land. Found love in the people, peace and love…
